Current call for papers:

“Confronting the Present: (Re)presenting Childhood”

ITYARN is calling for proposals for the ITYARN events at the ASSITEJ Artistic Gathering (AAG) September 2-5, 2019 in Kristiansand, Norway. The overall theme of the AAG is Towards the Unknown: Confronting the Present.

Papers could explore the theme Confronting the Present: (Re)presenting Childhood from a variety of perspectives, such as cultural contexts, media, aesthetics and art forms, social interventions through art, psychology, theoretical concepts of child and childhood, social and economic conditions, race and ethnicity, gender, ability, and sexual orientation.

Researchers should submit a 500 word proposal and sample bibliography by email in MSWord.doc or MSWord.docx. Proposals should include name, affiliation, and email address in the upper left corner. Proposals will be peer reviewed by the ITYARN board in February 2019. Notifications will go out March 2019.

Last call for papers:

5th. INTERNATIONAL THEATRE FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE RESEARCHERS AND CRITICS FORUM – Buenos Aires City, Argentina from 17^th to 21^st September 2018

Organized by the ATINA– Argentina, in collaboration with the AINCRIT– Argentina and ITYARN, the topic of this 5th Forum will be: Writing for the new generations. Where is TYA going?

The program includes conferences, paper presentations, plenary sessions, meetings, forums, round tables, workshops and debates. During the Forum, participants and speakers will be able to attend to Argentinian Theatre for Children and Young People performances and Playwriting reading. The Forum Language will be English – Spanish. Forums will be translated into both languages.

Participants: Students, Researchers, Professors, TYA professionals can present their papers. The Forum is open to general audience interested in TYA issues.

Titles and Abstracts must be sent before 1^st. March 2018 by e-mail to the following address: investigadores@iberoamericateatral.com.ar with a maximum of 200 words. Once the abstract acceptation is confirmed, the final work must be sent by e-mail before 1^st.August 2018.
